The SENTINEL
Project
Welcome to the homepage of the SENTINEL Project. SENTINEL
is the abbreviation for the Security and
Network Training Initiative and National Education Laboratory.
Our goal is to provide free cybersecurity training to public safety
personnel nationwide, in order to combat, prevent, and respond to potential
cyberterrorist attacks against our nation's critical infrastructures.
Training classes are free of charge and will be held at easily accessible and centralized locations
throughout the continental United States, so that participants will
have to pay only marginal out-of-pocket expenses for travel. SENTINEL
will pay for the student’s local mileage costs to attend the courses. Graduates of the SENTINEL program will be certified
by the Office of Grants and Training,
U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
